The recent decision and potential suspension to start the season for Kevin and Pat Williams makes the speculation heat up as it's no secret that Albert Haynesworth is not happy moving to nose tackle with the Washington Redskins and would much rather play defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme such as that of the Minnesota Vikings. Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com reports that NFL sources confirm that Haynesworth indeed would be open to playing for the Vikings. Pelissero reports that Haynesworth would have no problem splitting time with the Williams Wall in Minnesota, but the bigger question would likely be his contract and trade terms with the Redskins. Surprisingly attractive to Minnesota is the fact that Haynesworth collected a $21 million roster bonus April 1, but his base salary this season is a reasonable $3.6 million on a contract that runs through 2015.

And what would the Vikings do with Haynesworth once the Williams Wall comes back from their suspension?

It seems he's got one foot out the door in Washington. The question is though, who will take on his contract?

they would just rotate the 3 of them. those big d-lineman have to be rotated a lot regardless so why not have 3 studs rotating in and out instead of 2 studs and 1 average joe.

Pat Williams is 37 now, and usually only plays 2 downs. They'd fit them all into the rotation

His contract isn't that bad though, it was very front-loaded.

Yeah the original post touched on it, but I think he's only due something like $15M over the next three years.
