I was just listening to a FF show on the radio, and a caller said he was on his way home from his live draft.

I thought everyone physically getting together was pretty much a thing of the past.

Anyone here part of a live draft league this year?

Yes. My college buddies and I try to get together every year. I wasn't able to make it this year, but out of 12 teams, usually. 9-10 of us are able to make it at a time. Then we'll also get a couple guests that aren't involved in the league attending for the booze.

It's amazing to me that so many college buddies can get together. After college, normally many end up living a far distance from each other.

i have every year up to this year since i moved. usually meet at a brewery and go the distance. alot of places cater to live drafts with the wifi and we even had a big chalk board brought out last year. it was a lot of fun

Yup we're so scattered now that a live draft is an immposibility. Oregon, all over California, Hawaii, Washington, Montana, Japan, NYC...theres no way everyone could pull it off logistically and Im sure a lot of them wouldnt make the trip anyway, its a lot to ask for someone to drop work and family to fly across the country for a fantasy draft.

We usually rotate ours around according to where people live and it seems to work better but with kids in the picture, for me, it's a little more difficult to make it every year.
