Arsene Wenger looks set to complete his first big money signing of the summer on transfer deadline day, as Arsenal agree a £42m deal to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid. The BBC has reported that the 24 year old has agreed personal terms with the Gunners, but must undergo a medical before the deal is completed. In what is probably the biggest signing of deadline day so far, Arsenal have broken a club record fee if the deal for Ozil can be completed today. The move has been helped by Real Madrid finally securing the world record signing for Gareth Bale yesterday from the Gunners rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and now the La Liga side are looking to recoup some of the £85.3m they spent on the Welshman.
