Detroit Lions safety Amari Spievey has had criminal charges dismissed against him for his role in a child-support dispute with his girlfriend, Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press reports. Spievey was arrested March 26 in his hometown of Middletown, Conn., after a dispute with his girlfriend, Lisa Marie Santos. He was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child. He had been accused of putting his hand around the neck of Santos and pushing her while he carried their 2-year-old daughter, according to a police report posted on the Middletown Press website.
