HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros have relieved Cecil Cooper of his managerial duties, General Manager Ed Wade announced today. Third-base coach Dave Clark will take over as manager on an interim basis through the remainder of the 2009 season.

The Astros have been going through managers like cheap condoms.

It wasn't Cooper's fault that the Astros went cheap last winter and failed to upgrade areas that everyone knew needed to be upgraded. It also wasn't his fault that the Astros had some really bad drafts a couple of years ago.

That said, I think Cooper lost the team. There seemed to be chemistry issues between Cooper & the players.

They keep letting there good players get away to. Like Carlos Beltran. I think his agent had alot do with that.
