At least one team would start Mark Sanchez at quarterback in 2014 if he’s cut

We've kind of forgotten about Mark Sanchez.

The Jets quarterback was hurt in the preseason after he was thrown into a game with the backup offensive line and missed the season with a shoulder injury. But, assuming his shoulder is healthy, his name will reemerge. If one anonymous coach, in comments to the New York Post, is telling the truth then Sanchez will be a pretty big story this offseason.

The Post quoted a coach saying if Sanchez is cut by the Jets (and that seems to be the most probable outcome), he could be his team's starter as soon as he signed.

“We’d take Sanchez,” the coach said, according to the Post. “He’d be the starter as soon as he walked in the door for us.”

Let's assume that wasn't a coach from Green Bay, New Orleans or Denver with that quote. But teams like Jacksonville, Cleveland, Minnesota or Oakland might view Sanchez as a viable option, at least as a veteran bridge to their quarterback of the future that they'd draft in May.

I wonder who this team could be. I wouldn't surprise me if it was the Raiders. Sorry no disrespect to the Raiders but it sounds like something Al Davis offspring would say.
