The Colorado Avalanche found a way to survive a third-period comeback attempt by the Dallas Stars.Milan Hejduk scored two goals, Dallas had the potential tying goal disallowed in the third period, and Colorado held on for a 5-4 victory over the Stars on Saturday.The Avs carried a 5-2 lead into the third period, but Dallas got close when Loui Eriksson scored from the slot with 18 minutes left and Brad Richards scored 4:47 later.
