Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III will declare for the 2012 NFL Draft prior to the January 15 deadline, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner passed for 4,293 yards with 37 touchdowns and six interceptions with 699 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns during his All-American season. During his 41-game career, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Griffin passed for 10,366 yards with 78 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, adding 2,254 yards and 33 touchdowns on the ground. Griffin is projected to be the second quarterback chosen in the 2012 NFL Draft, behind only Stanford's Andrew Luck, and could hear his name called with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
