Three Bears starters were hampered by injuries Wednesday, while a fourth felt better after another slow game. Cornerback Charles Tillman did not participate in practice because of a lingering knee injury, a move coach Marc Trestman called precautionary. “He should be ready to go in practice [Thursday],†Trestman said. Tight end Martellus Bennett, who injured his shoulder Sunday, and Kyle Long, who has a back issue, were limited. Defensive end Julius Peppers said he felt “fine†after battling flu symptoms; through two games, he has neither a sack nor a quarterback hurry. “I’m not interested in talking about the [first] two weeks right now,†Peppers said.
