Adams passed away due to an enlarged heart.

Gonna be some tough questions for the Bears from this. You would think the docs would have picked up his health issues when he joined them just three months ago.

 

Unless they are doing cardiac echos on everyone they wouldn't have necessarily picked this up

 

It doesn't matter. When players move they are meant to have thorough physical checks intended to pick these things up. Seems like the Bears didn't do so, and they are paying the price (As well as his family).

Think there is a slight difference between being arrested and being on a slab in the local morgue.

 

Died of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, basically meaning that the Heart increased in size but not in strength. Common amongst young athletes, in which it's associated with excessive amounts of growth hormone (HGH) and abuse of anabolic steroids.

Considering HGH isn't tested for in the NFL...
