Bears, DE Julius Peppers Finalizing A Six-Year Deal

  1. The Bears and defensive end Julius Peppers are in the process of finalizing a six-year deal to bring the top free agent in 2010 to Chicago, according to a source. After agreeing on the numbers on the deal, both sides are having the language of the contract reviewed by the league and the NFLPA. The agreement could be worth $40 million over the first three years.
