Steve12 The night is dark and full of terrors

Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers hit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford near the end of the first half of the season opener last September, injuring his right shoulder and sidelining him for six weeks. Peppers was genuinely contrite since the day of the hit. He even went and checked on Stafford's condition immediately after the game. "To be honest with you, it really doesn't get me excited to see anybody get injured," Peppers told Justin Rogers of Mlive.com. "It's not something I take a lot of pride in, the fact that I hit him and injured his shoulder last year."

Lots of respect for Peppers, he is a hell of a player and sounds like a hell of a human being.
