The word around Halas Hall is that the last thing the Bears want to do is pigeonhole DE Julius Peppers and that plans call for the Bears' new defensive centerpiece to be moved around frequently on the D-line to take advantage of the best matchups. That said, the best guess is that head coach Lovie Smith would prefer that Peppers start games on the left side with Mark Anderson playing mostly on the right side, and Israel Idonije operating more often than not on the left side in what could turn out to be a very fluid rotation.
