The Bears elevated S Anthony Walters from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Tuesday and waived S Winston Venable. Walters, an undrafted free agent out of Delaware, spent the first five weeks of the season on Chicago's practice squad. Venable had contributed on special teams, but the Bears struggled to find a place for him on defense, moving him on the depth chart from safety to strong-side linebacker last week. The Bears also made other changes to the practice squad, signing WR Max Komar and DE Jake Laptad and terminating the practice-squad contracts of WR Kris Adams and RB Armando Allen.
