Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner said he was pleased with the performance of all three wide receivers who were drafted last month -- Oklahoma's Juaquin Iglesias, Abilene Christian's Johnny Know and Pitt's Derek Kinder. Knox is taking the biggest step up in class, coming from a Division-II program, so Turner was asked if the transition is more difficult for the speedy Knox. "I don't think that's necessarily the case," Turner said. "From what I saw, he ran routes pretty well (Sunday)."

Hopefully this continues through training camp and preseason and into the whole regular season.

I hope Iglesias can be someone the Bears can count on for a while... Mark Bradley's on his way to becoming a star for KC but could never stay healthy here... hopefully with a new QB (real QB) the receivers will be able to thrive...

Sometimes, it takes going elsewhere to stay healthy and on the field. Cutler seems fine with what we have at WR right now.

  5. i like the speed that we have at the WR position but we need that 1 guy we can count on that is gonna make the play everytime the ball is thrown to him

well, they better hope and pray that one or 2 of them DO step up to become studs or they're screwed at WR.
