University of Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti is the latest name to emerge in the Bears' search for an offensive coordinator, according to two sources. Before arriving in Pittsburgh, Cignetti was the offensive coordinator for a California team that averaged 33 points per game in 2008. Although Cignetti has spent the bulk of his career coaching in the college ranks, he also has pro experience, serving as the 49ers quarterbacks coach in 2007 and coaching Jeff Blake and Aaron Brooks as the Saints quarterbacks coach in 2000-01.
