Urlacher didn’t hold back, either, when the subject turned to Brian Cushing, the NFL defensive rookie of the year even after a re-vote. Cushing will be suspended for the first four games this season after testing positive last September for a fertility drug that is on the list of banned substances. Cushing tested positive for elevated levels of hCG, a drug that hardcore steroid users will take at the end of their cycle. The Associated Press called for a re-vote on the rookie of the year award and somehow Cushing won again, he did, however, lose his spot on the All-Pro team, a move that benefitted Urlacher’s Bears’ teammate Lance Briggs. “It's a touchy subject, with the way they test for everything,†Urlacher told Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune. “Now, you've got to know what you're putting in your body. I will say this: How do you play the whole season when you test positive the first month of the season? That's not fair to me. It doesn't make any sense." Source: Brad Biggs, NFPost
