It’s unlikely that Vikings middle linebacker E.J. Henderson will be ready for the start of next season after breaking his leg this season and the best replacement available could be the Chicago Bears’ Brian Urlacher. If the Bears decide it’s time to move on without Urlacher, 31, who sat out the bulk of this season after breaking his wrist in the opening game, the ideal option would be to trade him out of the division, but Urlacher is scheduled to make $8.6 million next season and would be hard to trade. Considering that, the Bears might have to release him and considering Henderson’s status, signing Urlacher, for the right deal, would seem to make sense for the Vikings. Source: Pioneer Press
