Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reports there has been talk among 49ers players that the Chicago Bears made a recent trade offer for safety Taylor Mays that the 49ers declined. The 49ers two weeks ago sent a mass email to the other 31 teams in the NFL to announce that Mays was available -- for the right price -- in a trade. Mays declined comment, and the 49ers denied receiving any offer from the Bears. Source: Comcast SportsNet Bay Area
