There was a report on the NFL Network yesterday that said the Chicago Bears had placed a call to Toomer's representatives and could be interested in signing the former Giants receiver. But not so fast, says the Chicago Tribune, which reports that the Bears placed no such call. That report speculates, though, that Toomer's people have called around the league to see if anyone was interested in their 34-year-old client. Source: NY Daily News
