Jay Cutler wasted little time showing the fans at Soldier Field what they've been waiting to see since he joined the Chicago Bears. Cutler led the Bears to points on their first three possessions — his only three series of the game — as Chicago moved out to a quick 17-point lead and beat the New York Giants 17-3 on Saturday night. His subpar performance a week ago in the preseason opener against Buffalo was quickly forgotten. "It's preseason. Everyone got a little excited last week when we didn't produce, but we looked OK tonight," Cutler said. "There's still room for improvement, so we're going to go back to work. We're coming together as an offense. We're not quite there yet." Source: Denver Post
His deep pass to Hester looked like he shocked him. Hester isn't used to having a cannon throwing him the ball.
Yeah last season Hester would get open deep and Orton would underthrow him most of the time. Got a lot of pass interference penalties out of it though. :icon_cheesygrin:
It's only been 2 preseason games that really don't mean squat for judgement. These guys shouldn't get their heads in the clouds.
