Bears head coach Lovie Smith was then asked about former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, a player whose off-the-field issues might scare some teams away. According to WSCR-AM radio, new Bears quarterback Jay Cutler already reached out to Burress. "Every player that's available, we look into," Smith said. "No more than that."

Saw Lovie's comments on tv earlier. I'd be all for bringing Burress in IF he wasn't facing possible jail time.

He would be a nice target for Cutler but the whole jail thing kinda puts a kink in that idea.

If it wasent for the jail he would be picked up already.

Plax would still be with the Giants if it wasn't for the jail.

The minor BS like him being late for team meetings can be tollerated. Even though I was shocked to see the Giants get rid of him.
