Now that they've been separated for five months, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has high praise for Broncos rookie coach Josh McDaniels, whom he'll see in a preseason game at Invesco Field this weekend. Cutler says in the brief time he spent with McDaniels he could tell the Bill Belichick disciple was an offensive mastermind. Cutler adds that the Broncos are in good hands with McDaniels and quarterback Kyle Orton. "He's going to be a good coach," Cutler told Denver reporters in a conference call Wednesday. "I think their offense is going to be fine. I think Kyle's going to be fine. [McDaniels] is an offensive mind. Just the brief amount of time I was able to spend with him, he's impressive. He knows a lot about offenses, he knows a lot about getting guys open and scoring points, as everyone's seen when he was in New England, so I think they're going to be fine."

Screw Cutler!! so he left an offensive mastermind who was great at getting guy open, and really good receivers to go throw to Devin Hester...smart fella!

    lol k train, funny..

Really tho he does have a defense now, but he's not a game manager type he wants to go throw 3 touchdowns a game and 30+ points. That's not going to work out in Chi Town.

In the long run, the Broncos are better off without Cutler. I don't see him looking worth a crap at Chicago this year. I see Denver drafting a QB next year in their first round from a real good crop of available prospects. Orton is nothing more than a fill in for a year or two.

The Bears didn't trade two 1st round picks for a game manager. They want the 30+ points. I mean sure, hopefully Cutler can improve his TD/INT ratio but still you really don't think the Bears are going to open up the attack for Cutler?

Look Patriots fans I'm sure McDaniels will be a success in that he won't do any worse than Romeo Crennel or Charlie Weis once they left New England. Or maybe he could be the next Eric Mangini, never know.

Belichick is the man who greases those wheels in New England. He was the assistant coach who made Parcells look so fine in New York too so why even bother acting like a guy such as McDaniels really has a clue. He doesn't but having the Patriots organization stamp of approval was enough to convince an apparently senile Pat Bowlen. Good sell there.

agreed that McDaniels has a lot to overcome to succeed unlike Bellichik's other former coordinators, but this article is about Cutler being a cocksucker yet again praising McDaniels offensive mind, after running himself out of Denver to throw to a TE and RB in Chicago. I love that Chicago fans think Cutler is the next coming of Jesus Christ himself (sorry MJ bad reference) in a football uniform, when he made terrible mistakes last year. Throwing 7 picks inside your own 20 is not the result of a bad Defense, he threw like 6 more I believe inside hi own 50. He has a 17 - 20 record...how many playoff games has he won? Last year he threw the second most picks in the NFL, and had statistically the best pass protection in the league. His receivers in Denver were 10 times better last year. Sorry but I think Chicago vastly overpaid for this bed wetting little snitch.
