There were rumors that Cutler had reached out to Burress via text back in April saying Burress claimed he had received a text from Cutler that said the Bears could use him in Chicago", and that Burress said he replied that he liked the deep dish pizza in Chicago. On Wednesday after the story of that exchange started making the rounds again in the Chicago media, Cutler informed Bears officials he never sent Burress a text message and, in fact, didn't know Burress at all.
