The Bears on Saturday reached the NFL’s mandatory 53-man roster limit by terminating the contracts of guard Dan Buenning, cornerback Rod Hood and linebacker Darrell McClover; waiving 16 players including wide receiver Brandon Rideau; and placing three others on injured reserve. Players who were waived included guard Johan Asiata, defensive ends Ervin Baldwin and Joe Clermond, offensive tackle Cody Balogh, quarterback Brett Basanez, cornerbacks Rudy Burgess, Marcus Hamilton and Woodny Turenne, fullbacks Jason Davis and Will Ta’ufo’ou, linebackers Marcus Freeman, Kevin Malast and Mike Rivera, receiver Eric Peterman, and center Donovan Raiola. Running back Kevin Jones, who tore ligaments in his left ankle in Thursday night’s preseason finale, was placed on injured reserve, as were safety Dahna Deleston (hamstring) and defensive end Henry Melton (ankle).

So, I guess that means they are only gonna carry just 2 QB's. I think they should have, at least, Basanez on the practice squad. I'm also a little surprised they didn't hold on to WR Rideau.
