Jamaal Anderson's stay in the Windy City was short-lived. The 2007 No. 8 overall draft pick signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears on July 25, but he was released Saturday, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the transaction. Anderson was cut to make room for newly signed quarterback Jordan Palmer, according to Rapoport. Anderson never fulfilled the promise of his draft status. He recorded just 4.5 sacks in four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before the team cut him loose. Source: NFL.com
