Bears Unlikely To Bring Back RB Thomas Jones If He's Cut

For the third consecutive season, the Bears will try to replace Thomas Jones but they are unlikely to bring him back if the Jets release him even though he'd likely become the best back on the open market. Jones is coming off the finest year of his career, rushing for 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns and was a steadying influence in an offense that was directed by rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez. Jones will be seeking to score a free agent payday that the Bears will be unlikely to want to pay and he might not be a fit in new offensive coordinator Mike Martz' scheme.

Thomas Jones would be perfect for Matt Forte. Too bad, Bears management is too blind to see that.
