Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger does not intend to appeal his six-game suspension by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy, a source close to the situation said Thursday according to Mark Maske of the Washington Post. Roethlisberger and his advisers do not believe an appeal would be successful, said the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the topic. Roethlisberger is determined to abide by the terms of his suspension which include a provision by which the suspension could be reduced to four games if Roethlisberger complies with certain conditions, according to the source. Kind of hard to appeal to the same guy that suspended you. It's basically only a 4 game suspension if you keep your hands to yourself, no biggie.
I will LOL very hard when Goodell keeps it at 6. I think the possible downgrade to 4 is likely just a carrot to keep Ben from bothering Goodell and further sullying his image with an appeal.
