The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback threw for just 69 yards in the first half and failed to move the ball in a rough 17-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns. "We didn't execute well," offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth said after the game, per The Cincinnati Enquirer. "We had two plays where half the people know what is happening, half the people don't. Then we had a fumble deal where we lost 15 yards on first-and-10, things that happen in high school football, can't happen in pro football." Said Whitworth: "It's an embarrassing day, but it happens in the league. Everybody has to take a step back at some point. We will, and we will be better." their offense has always been their achilles heel under dalton. their defense, when it's clicking, will single-handedly win them games, though. and the afc north is going to be easy to win this year so i still give the bengals the best chance to win their division.
Its funny because one of the guys I work with is a big Bengals fan and I commented to him about how the Bengals were going to destory the Browns. He laughed and said, "Dont be so sure, the Browns always play us tough". Even still, if the Bengals want to be considered an elite team, they need to win games against teams like this. People in Ohio already think the Bengals are a joke and losing to the Browns in a season where the Browns have waved the white flag after week 2 isnt going to help reverse that perception.
Browns are a dangerous team to play right now, because they're not afraid to try anything. If the team knows you well already, and has that mentality, you can't slack at all
