According to Bengals.com, Cincinnati owner Mike Brown has confirmed that the Bengals are seriously talking to Terrell Owens and adds "it is up to him". Brown makes it sound like the Bengals have made an offer and the ball is now in T.O.'s court. The Rams have serious interest too and it is likely T.O.'s agent Drew Rosenhaus is trying to set up a bidding war between the two teams. Speculation is that T.O. would want more money to play for the non-contending Rams. Meanwhile, the Bengals interest in Owens means Antonio Bryant's knee is a real concern. Source: Bengals.com@Twitter
So it appears that TO could care less about a championship ring and wants the money. This is why he will never be considered a great receiver!!!
How does it appear that way? Because the article said that Drew Rosenhaus might set up a bidding war? ZOMG an article said something it must be true! If he signs with either team, it will be the Bengals.
My point is if he signs with the Rams for more money instead of taking less and going to the bengals then it's about the money. The Bengals are alot closer to winning a championship than the Rams. Understand now?:icon_rolleyes:
I would want more money to play for the Rams too. The Rams situation is awful for T.O. He's going to help them, but they aren't really going to help him contend for a Championship. The Bengals on the other hand have a shot and that's pretty much all it is, is a shot. If the Bengals think T.O. can put them over the edge and help them, they'll bid up more. I agree if the Rams are only offering a little more and that's where he chooses to go, it's all about the money...but if it's significantly more than what the Bengals are offering, he'd be silly not to take it... I'd love to hear the huddle with Palmer, OchoCinco and Owens in it...Carson will be lucky to get a played called with all that chitter chatter...
I agree with you that the Rams should offer way more money because of their situation, but TO doesn't have much time left in the league and money shouldn't be a factor anymore he has more than he knows what to do with. To cement his name with the greats he needs a ring and should have no problem taking much less to make that happen. Hell, he should offer his services to the Saints or Colts for the league minimum for vets to get that damn ring. In the end this is why you play to the game to become a Superbowl champion.
