The Cincinnati Bengals have released left guard Travelle Wharton according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer. The move saves $1.975 million in cap room for the Bengals. Wharton, 32, missed all of last season due to ACL surgery and was expected to open training camp on the PUP list. He is in his 10th season out of South Carolina and spent most of his career with the Carolina Panthers. He will likely be unable to find another team until he is able to prove he is healthy.
