Sirius NFL Radio just replayed some clips from an interview Chad Johnson had on Sirius' ESPN The Magazine and Johnson expressed an interest in "keeping his options open..." "Football doesnt have to be my backbone. Football is my bread and butter, but with my success and with me being able to venture into other things, I mean, the possibility of really not playing this year is really open." He was also looking towards doing things in print, television, movies. I just love what I do. I have a passion for it and sometimes that passion hurts me and sometimes that passion hurts my team. And Ive always been a winner and its been mistaken. Because of my style of play, its been taken out of context as me not wanting to win. And thats where the controversy has come in during the off-season as Im tired of losing and were not doing the things we need to do to help us win. "
why hasn't this story broken in the news yet? why hasn't this story broken in the news yet? he is not as mental as 50% of the league.
In related news, even though he's "returning" to the Bengals, he's still shopping himself around. What a heckin douche. He used to be tolerable but he's becoming the new TO. Chad Johnson Ponders Eagles - Cowboys The good news for Eagles fans is that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson is at least thinking about wearing green. The bad news is he's also thinking about life with a star on the side of his helmet. "If I can get out of Cincinnati, the sky's the limit," Johnson told ESPN the Magazine. "What could I do in a place like Philadelphia or Dallas? It would be ridiculous. It's gonna be like a whole new me, like Ocho Cinco 2.0." Johnson, who for some reason is serving as a guest editor for the magazine, said in the same story that he plans to play for the Bengals this season. "Am I coming back?" he asked rhetorically. "Of course I am. I told my coaches I'm going to California to act, but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid." -- Philadelphia Inquirer
All Johnson wants is to win. It could be in Cincinnati, it could be in Dallas, it could be in Philadelphia. He just wants to win. ProFootballTalk.com ROSENHAUS SAYS CHAD HAS MADE NO FINAL DECISION, YET On Tuesday, reports surfaced that Bengals receiver Chad Johnson would return to the team from which he has pleaded to be traded. That's news to me, Rosenhaus said, you know the reports about Chad making a decision about reporting to camp or not asking for a trade, all of thats a bit premature and talking to Chad tonight, you know, the feeling is that were still in discussion about what is in his best interest and according to Chad, hes not made a final decision yet. So I think that the reports that surfaced are a bit premature and may in fact be jumping the gun. At this point in time Chad has not decided what hes gonna to do in terms of a trade, minicamp, thats still up in the air and really wont be decided until next week. So Chad will either show up for next weeks mandatory minicamp. Or he wont.
Gentlemen, Please review the following rules for posting news articles from other sites. It is vitally important that these rules are followed to the letter. They are not optional, folks. The biggest issue is that some are starting to quote more than a sentence or two. Thanks. http://gridironfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59949
Curious as to why this notification is posted in this thread...this was a report done by myself. There was no link available because the story was broken here on GIF as I listened to it on the radio - before a link to any other source was available. Hence the reason there is no link. I've discussed with SRW how to handle "breaking a news story" in the future.
The Philadelphia Inquirer and ProFootballTalk.com were both quoted with too many sentences within this thread. And it was done by more than one person. I thought it simpler to just post a reminder in the thread, that way those involved could see it all at once. It's just a reminder, not a reprimand. That's why it was done IN the thread.
My God.....it was easier being a Jew in 1940 Germany than it is posting articles around here. Now we have to count words? Yeah, yeah, yeah....spare me the inevitable response of "FSU is complaining again." Seriously. This is getting to never before seen levels of ridiculousness. Now, it doesn't matter if the link is posted, now we also have to count words and sentences, otherwise it's off to the Gulag? When does the petty madeness stop and posting becomes fun and enjoyable?
