Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current CBS analyst Bill Cowher has been linked to the Miami Dolphins, with Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com reporting that owner Stephen Ross had reached out to intermediaries for Cowher to gauge his interest in the position. Both Ross and Cowher denied the report, and Cowher took a moment to address the rumors during the CBS' pregame show, stating that he has no plans to return to coaching in 2012. "I have not been contacted directly, or indirectly by any football team or any organization," Cowher said. "It's all speculation and it's unfortunate because it affects the lives of many that are in the profession. I am here to say to you today: I do not plan on coaching next year. I love where I work, and more importantly, I enjoy the people that I work with up here. And so I can put all the speculation to rest and if I have to repeat this in December again, I will. It's (coaching) a tough profession. I know the speculation is out there and I'm flattered by it, to be honest with you, but at the same time, it affects too many people's lives. I like what I'm doing right here and I plan on being back in the same seat next year."

Nothing and like I've been saying, what's the real incentive on coming out of "retirement" to coach when they have these Cush jobs?

Cowher won't make it into the hall in 2012. Especially if his name is swirling and rumored to be attached to teams needing a head coach.
