Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Warren Sapp and former NFL coach Bill Parcells were among seven people elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2013 on Saturday.

Jonathan Ogden, Larry Allen, Curley Culp, Cris Carter and Dave Robinson were also selected.

Sapp and Ogden -- both of whom retired in 2008 -- were voted in during their first year of eligibility. It took the 46-person Hall of Fame selection committee more than eight hours to decide who should be in this year's clbutt.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame enshirement ceremony will take place in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 3.

    Ok, good.

This led me to believe that it wasn't:

    He was a no-brainer.

Mmm Strahan was well above average but Sapp was as good of an undertackle as you're ever going to see play the game. An annoying pain in the butt off the field, yeah, but an all time elite talent on it.

The only undertackle I think even compares is Randle, and Sapp was much better

Carter deserved to get in,but his me,me me,i'm the greatest ever and should have been a first ballott hofer is what kept him out the last 5 times the writers voted. his being an butthole and not giving players of today any credit for being great also had a lot to do with it!
and i hate mr ed strahain, but he deserved it before sapp did!

When Ray Lewis gets in on the first ballot, that will make the Ravens the second team in history to select two first ballot Hall of Famers in the first round of the same draft.
