Just because the Buffalo Bills signed recently released quarterback Kevin Kolb, it doesn't mean the organization will sit idly by and not look for another long term action in this year's draft. According to Sports Illustrated, the Bills are still contemplating taking a quarterback early in the draft. The report even states that the Bills could take West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith if he's available at the No. 8 overall pick. Kolb has always dealt with competition in his career. In Philadelphia, just when he was expected to be the starter, he was injured and lost his job to Michael Vick while in Arizona, he never could beat out John Skelton, or even Ryan Lindley. why wouldn't they? the QB position is too important to just assume one guy has it covered, especially when the one guy is somewhat questionable. Until I had a completely unquestioned #1 kick butt qb, i would always be bringing in more options in the hopes of hitting a home run on one of them.
