Bills Place DT Kyle Williams On Injured Reserve

  1. The Buffalo Bills placed starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams on injured reserve because of a left foot injury and signed journeyman kicker Dave Rayner to fill in for injured veteran Rian Lindell in a pair of moves made Tuesday. Williams' season being over does not come as a surprise. The six-year player was scheduled to be examined by a specialist this week. Williams has missed the past three games and been bothered by the injury since training camp. The equipment staff at one point this season cut holes into the back of Williams left cleat to alleviate the pressure on his foot. The exact nature of the injury hasn't been disclosed, and it's unclear whether Williams will require surgery.
