The Buffalo Bills are releasing former first-round pick Aaron Maybin after trying unsuccessfully to trade the linebacker, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Drafted 11th overall in 2009 out of Penn State for his pass-rushing abilities, Maybin has yet to register a sack in 26 career games. Last season he was credited with only six tackles and has just 24 in his two-year career. At 6-foot-4 and 228 pounds, Maybin is considered undersized for his position. He's had difficulty relying solely on his speed to beat offensive linemen. Source: ESPN

And to think they could have Brian Orakpo still starting for them at either DE or OLB. A few of us around here saw the Bills Draft Selection of Maybin for what it was, a REACH! Avoid drafting PSU garbo.
