As a throwaway line in yet another report about the unrest between the Buffalo Bills and Jairus Byrd that published Sunday morning, Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com dropped in a nugget of far more interesting (and expected) news: that the Bills have made multiple contract offers to pending free agent defensive lineman Alex Carrington. He is scheduled to hit unrestricted free agency next March, and clearly, the Bills would like to keep the 2010 third-round pick around for the foreseeable future.
