Bob McNair Orders Locker Room Search For PED's

  1. Houston Texans owner Bob McNair ordered a sweep of the locker room to make sure none of his players are using banned substances. USA Today first reported the Texans had staff members remove any products from lockers that are not approved by the NFL. Two of Houston's players -- left tackle Duane Brown and linebacker Brian Cushing -- served four-game suspensions for different violations of the league's policy on banned substances. McNair says Friday he wanted to take a step to provide a "deterrent" for future violations. He says the Texans have the right to control players while they're in the team's facilities.

I get the feeling this could be double edged sword. If they find something and it gets reported they are screwed.

interesting ........... i'm going to have to think about this for a little while to figure out what this is really all about ......... why would a team feel the need to do a search of every player's locker? do they suspect that there is still usage going on? did the league tell them that they still have a problem and the organization would start getting fined huge money if they didn't get it under control?
