No matter what criteria/rankings/formula you are using, there is no possible way at this point in the season that the Packers aren't the best team in the league and it's really not close.
They haven't really dominated opponents with the exception of the Broncos. The rankings only take this season's numbers into effect so being defending SB champs doesn't matter. I could implement yardage but that would probably put them lower. I've been thinking of implementing yardage into this somehow, so I may tinker with it when I have time to see how it works.
They kind of have dominated teams though. Saints put up a late TD to make the game closer than it appeared, same with the Carolina game. Newton scored with little time left. They dominated in Chicago. They certainly dominated the Broncos and after the slow start in Atlanta, they pretty much dominated for 3 quarters. Their ToP isn't too shabby compared to the rest of the league either. Gotta be close to Top 5 if not in the Top 5.
