The Boston Bruins have signed restricted free-agent goalie Tuukka Rask to an eight-year contract worth $56 million, the team announced Wednesday. Rask's salary is worth an annual cap figure of $7 million. The 26-year-old proved to be a No. 1 goalie this past season, helping the Bruins reach the Stanley Cup finals against the Chicago Blackhawks. Rask posted a 19-10-5 record with a 2.00 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage in 36 games during the regular season. He also recorded five shutouts. During the Stanley Cup playoffs, he posted a 1.88 GAA and a .940 save percentage, including three shutouts. In June 2012, Rask and the Bruins agreed on a one-year, $3.5 million deal.
