Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress was asked about second-year wide receiver Percy Harvin, who missed his 14th and 15th consecutive practices as he deals with personal issues, most notably the loss of his grandmother last weekend. "The thing that I've learned is that everybody grieves differently," Childress said, according to Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune. "That's just the fact of it. You've got to be able to respect that and appreciate that." Earlier on Monday, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell didn't know what sort of conditioning level Harvin would be at when he does return to the club, and Childress addressed that issue, as well. "It always takes a little while to round back into shape, just like anybody at the start," Childress said. "He is a highly conditioned athlete. How long it will take him to get up to speed, I don't know. His legs will come to him."
