Brad Childress calls the acquisition of receiver Randy Moss "a poor decision." The Vikings coach addressed the media Wednesday, two days after he decided to cut Moss less than a month into his second stint in Minnesota. Childress declined to answer repeated questions about the specifics of the decision, including the motives behind it and who he consulted before placing him on waivers. Moss hit the waiver wire Tuesday after catching 13 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns in four games with the Vikings. They lost three of those four games. Childress says, "When it's not right, you need to make it right." Source: ESPN
why didnt they just go after vincent jackson? i mean for a second they would have a player whod happy to be playing on sunday for them, but instead they traded a third for someone that they let go. goober
I can see it now. Someone asks Childress why he made the decision to let Randy Moss go, and he replies, "Because Brett told me to."
I can do one better, BigBlue, "Why would anyone give this utter fool a contract extension when he has failed to find a QB who can play at a competent level and is under the age of 35." (Not just Favre, also Frerotte)
Ha....too funny....they didn't like Moss telling Belichick and the guys he loved them after the game....:icon_cheesygrin:
Whatever happened to the good old days when a starting QB was supposed to lead his teammates by example and a head coach told his players you either attend training camp and organized team activities, or you don't play?
