Minnesota Vikings Coach Brad Childress told reporters Wednesday that he's "more than content" to have Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels compete for the club's starting quarterback job after the team's failed effort to lure Brett Favre out of retirement. Childress also said he didn't think the Vikings' pursuit of Favre has alienated Jackson and Rosenfels. "The National Football League is extremely, extremely, extremely competitive," Childress said, according to the Vikings' website. "No more [alienating] than bringing in Jared Allen has a chance to alienate the defensive line or the defensive ends. You say QB's are a different animal... from the standpoint that they compete to play. I don't know that they are different. I don't worry about trust being an issue. They trust the fact that we're going to get the best players we can to surround the rest of the football team." Source: Washington Post
With the defense the Vikings have, especially the line, the Vikings would be just fine, Brett Favre or no Brett Favre.
