One day after quarterback Tarvaris Jackson revealed that he “felt something pop for a quick secondâ€￾ in his left knee, Vikings coach Brad Childress said he isn’t concerned about the quarterback pushing himself too hard. “You listen to the player and the medical staff,â€￾ the coach said. “They got him (Jackson) braced pretty well. Is he always going to be comfortable? Probably not, but you could say that for 70 out of the 80 guys that were out there. He just has a little different malady right now.â€￾ Jackson, who competing with Sage Rosenfels for the starting job in Minnesota, strained the medial collateral ligament in the knee Saturday and rested until Wednesday, when he returned to practice with no ill effects. However, Jackson seemed to aggravate the knee during Friday’s workout and limped after planting his leg to make a throw.
