Brad Childress Says Percy Harvin Will Find A Way To Play Sunday

  1. Vikings coach Brad Childress refused to give any details about why he decided to place Randy Moss on waivers during his weekly appearance on Sirius NFL Radio. Moss hit the wire on Tuesday, a day after Childress informed his players that the wide receiver would be let go. "I'm not going to get into any of that," Childress said Tuesday. "You always make a decision based on your short-term interest and your long-term interest. I really do wish him the best as he moves forward." Asked for any details of how the decision was made and whether it was a collective decision, Childress said: "We have an internal process and usually what we say is: What's in-house, stays in-house." Childress is scheduled to meet with the local media late Wednesday morning and odds are his responses won't change too much, meaning if you're looking to get an answer for this move you probably won't. Childress also was asked about the health of wide receiver Percy Harvin (ankle) and Sidney Rice (hip). Harvin was injured in Sunday's game but returned. "[He's] in treating," Childress said. "We'll have to see how he comes back again tomorrow. He actually did that on his first route of the night, first catch. Caught a slant, took it up the middle, rolled that ankle. He obviously came back and was productive throughout the rest [of the game]. Chances are he's going to find a way to get on the field this week."
