Vikings coach Brad Childress obviously was not happy with some of the things he saw from his backup quarterbacks Friday in a 35-31 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Sage Rosenfels and John David Booty threw interceptions that were returned for touchdowns on back-to-back series in the third quarter. Childress benched each quarterback after their interceptions. Asked about their play, Childress said: "At times it was embarrassing. I end up putting that on myself. Not having them ready to come out of the locker room at halftime. All the quarterbacks I have ever coached have some regard for the football and you can't throw it to them [Dallas]." Source: Star-Tribune
Looks like a NFCN problem. If we take the Lions aside, all teams have great starters, but the backups are mediocre at least.
