Those guys balled big time today. Great tackles, chip shots on wide outs, and coverage. They were supposed to be a weakness that the Giants could take advantage of. They weren't having it...especially Bradley.
Hell yeah!!!! Bradley might not be pro bowl bound this year but you could make a case....and next year!?!?! Still a little shocked about Omar's benching but Akeem has help ease that shock. Omar was quite the vocal leader of the D though and I doubt Akeem can replace his leadership and attitude.
Yea i really like bradley hes going to be a baller. I was surprised with jordon i guess benching gaither worked out but i kind of feel bad for him.
Gaither was a big play maker, but Jordan is physical and he takes receivers out of their route. How many times did he chip on one of the Giants today that took them out of the play?
I counted 2....which is a lot while your busy most the game screaming...IN YOUR FACE at your girlfriend
remember im in school in new jersey. about 1/2 the kids are eagles fans and the other 1/2 are giants fans. this will be a great week
The linebackers looked great, but so did the whole defense. Seriously, to put up that kind of showing on the road against the best team in the league... out-f'ing-standing...
the defense played excellent and they were still fresh come the 4th thanks to the fact that we RAN THE BALL MORE thus keeping them off the field including 12 minutes in the 3rd quarter alone.
It amazes me that Gaither was the chosen "leader" after Trotter got released and now he can't even start.
Gaither is a quality player. Can't really complain with the way the defense has played since Jordan has been in though...
Agreed. And I doubt how much Gaither really was the leader of the defense. Obviously it's still Dawkins role right now. When Trotter and Reese were here, they had a say too, but it's different with a young kid like that. You can't expect a second-year player to step up and be a vocal and/or example leader when he's still learning himself. I think he just got pegged as that because he was the oldest of the bunch at LB. When Dawkins is gone, I think Bradley will eventually step us as the leader of the defense. It just seems like something that will naturally come with his position, the fact that he's relaying the plays (maybe a little redundant because that is also due to his position), and his ability. It's awesome how much youth and depth we have at LB right now and you have to be excited about the future with these guys. Stopping the run is key with all the great running backs in this division and with Bunkley, Patterson, Bradley, Gocong, Jordan, and Gaither, you have to feel we have a shot at competing every year as long as we put a formidable offense out on the field.
And another fine performance by the young LBs and the entire defense... 10 points given up and right around 250 yards.
