Brandon Jacobs is averaging only 3.4 yards per carry, and his apparent lack of power to the hole has drawn a ton of criticism this week. But Jacobs isn't worried, he doesn't give a (expletive deleted) about what any of us think. And he's so confident that his numbers will improve, he just told Brandon Tierney on ESPN Radio in New York (1050 AM) that if they don't, he'll retire at the end of the year. "If I finish the season averaging (3.4 yards) a carry, I won't play next year. I'll be done," Jacobs said. "That's how much I believe in my ability."

Well maybe it has to do with the fact that hes so huge maybe he has lost a step? The guy is 260 pounds

    Anything but.....

Looks like someone has asked him to be patient behind his blockers, and his best option is to be decisive.

It also doesn't help to play Washington (Haynesworth makes a good defensive line vs the run) and Dallas (really good run defence) in your first 2 games.

Panthers and bucs both ran on the cowboys. Deangalo only had 11 carries but had 5.9 a carry and cadilac tourched them as well. Its just an excuse he has sucked so far.

really has more to do with teams selling out the run than any lost ability. He does shuffle his feet to much and a guy his size, can't stop he's got to keep going. He did have 96yds last game and really softened that dline up for Bradshaw.

Ive been saying it for the past two years, Jacobs is not the Giants future at RB. That is reserved for Bradshaw. Bradshaw has the raw talent to be a good to great back in this league. He's fast, has good driving power in his legs and is hard to tackle. He has the toughness you want in a back.

Something the Giants should think about, how about in the years to come, move jacobs to fullback, 6-4 260 yeah that guy will create holes and block the crap outta defenses.

This is being total over analyzed and that includes the Giants fan.
