Brett Favre wanted to make one thing clear Thursday: He is not guaranteeing a victory over Dallas in Sunday's playoff game. Favre rolled his eyes when asked about his quote from a day earlier. "The last thing I ever want to do is be bulletin-board material," Favre said. "Of course, I gave the Cowboys a ton of respect, as they deserve. They are playing outstanding. They are playing, and I'm speaking NFC, as well if not the best. Maybe in the league. San Diego, obviously, would argue that. How could I sit there and say, 'Well, next week possibly [we] could be home.' That very well could be true, could be over, for both teams. I'm sure people want to take it [as] he's guaranteeing a victory. Both sides have to be confident and I think you know it wasn't a guarantee. It's not a guarantee and it's not being boastful. It's just I envision us going on. I don't know what else to say. I'm sure the Dallas Cowboys feel the same way and I'm definitely not slighting them at all. As tough of game as we've faced all year will be Sunday. But I don't want to think about what it would be like if we don't go on. That's basically more or less what I'm saying. I have to envision us playing next week. What happens this week remains to be seen. But it's not guaranteeing a victory. No." Source: Star-Tribune
What Farve really wants to say is: " We are gonna beat the Cowboys so bad.. you will be calling them the Dallas Cowgirls" :icon_cheesygrin:
